→ The BigLaw associate 90-day Challenge - Working with 23 first-year lawyers at an AmLaw 50 firm, I created a system to accelerate their business understanding of their practice groups and clients. This is not academic. It is geared toward actions they can take now to make them better associates for their partners and to help them grow their practice groups. This program began with a 2-day in-person workshop (3 hours each day). It continues as a weekly email from me that guides them through the process.
→ Buying & Selling Law Firms: Entrepreneurship-by-acquisition - This is an ongoing research and ecosystem-build project. Smaller law firms struggle to define succession and retirement. Providing liquidity to these lawyer(s) by selling their firm provides an accelerated ramp for new growth for the acquiring lawyer and a glide path toward retirement for the owner/lawyer.

First launched in 2020 with a focus on law firms, The Legal Innovation in Operations (LIO) Project was developed as a prestigious recognition program honoring those who have achieved innovation and design excellence in legal operations, thereby contributing to the evolution of the global corporate legal ecosystem. The LIO project has expanded to welcome submissions from the entire legal ecosystem, including legal service providers, law firms, academic providers, and in-house teams.
→ The Legal Business Design Hub at the Richmond Law School. A curriculum program focused on embedded entrepreneurial, business, and creative thinking in law students.
→ The Legal Modernist podcast and YouTube Channel. Because we are creating lawyers as if it was still 1992, not 2024.
